Laura Milus is a civil litigation attorney focusing on construction defect, insurance defense, and complex liability matters. She represents contractors in disputes involving residential and commercial construction, premises liability, and related claims.
Laura began her legal career clerking in the Fourth Judicial District of Idaho for the Honorable Andrew Ellis and the Honorable JoAnn Kibodeaux, where she assisted with both civil and criminal matters. Her work included drafting rulings and engaging in the deliberative process that informs judicial decision-making, giving her practical insight into how courts evaluate arguments and evidence.
After her clerkship, Laura served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arizona, representing the State in more than 600 civil hearings, mediations, and several trials. At the AG’s Office, she became known for resolving cases by keeping communication open, initiating early discussions, and narrowing disputes to reach practical resolutions, often outside of formal mediation.
Before joining Guerrero Huff, Laura also operated her own law practice, where she handled a variety of civil matters.
Prior to practicing law, Laura worked in the real estate and construction industry, serving as Public Affairs Director for a multinational commercial real estate development company and as a residential real estate investor. This work gave her meaningful exposure to construction processes, contractor coordination, and the practical realities that influence construction disputes.
All of this combined informs Laura’s litigation approach as pragmatic and resolution-focused.
Outside of work, Laura’s most meaningful role is being mom to her son. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and writing.
